Explore the Bitpanda euro-area physical Visa card: crypto, metals and EUR spending, conversion and card fees, reward conditions and eligible countries.
Rewards use the crypto spent. Stablecoins including USDC/USDT, EUR, metals and stocks are excluded, as are transfers, taxes, utilities and other excluded merchant categories. Allow up to 15 business days for crediting.
Asset-sale quotes include trading fees, shown under Trade summary → Trade Fee; EUR is debited directly. Deposit minimums and coin/network fees are in Payment Methods and Limits; regulatory account limits may be lower.
Supported crypto, metals and EUR balances can fund payments; other fiat cannot be selected directly. If the main asset is insufficient, the whole payment uses the fallback; otherwise it is declined.
Published spending caps: €70,000/week and €280,000/month; minimum payment €1. Contactless is typically €50, varying by country. Check effective account limits in Card settings → Limits and Fees.
Euro-area residents with a verified Bitpanda account
The help page excludes Cyprus and also names Liechtenstein as unsupported. Bankident-verified users cannot order. The app is required; nationality/document eligibility remains subject to account verification, not Visa acceptance.
Complete verification, check name and residential address, select payment assets and order. The help page allows up to about 20 business days for delivery; activate the physical card using its CVV.
The platform sells assets and settles from the EUR e-money wallet. Transact Payments Malta Limited issues the card; this is not direct spending from a personal onchain wallet.
Assets sell to EUR; refunds return to the EUR wallet
Preauthorisation sells assets and may hold EUR for up to 30 days. Refunds, less applicable fees, return as e-money rather than the original crypto quantity. Related rewards may be reversed; any negative balance must be covered promptly.
Foreign-merchant transactions 1%; asset conversion may add fees
Non-US holders: local stablecoin conversion free; 0.5% when the stablecoin matches neither holder nor merchant currency (Argentina USD exception); other crypto such as wETH 0.875%. Mastercard exchange rates and gas also apply.
The newer first-card fee FAQ lists AR, AO, BD, BO, CO, EC, ID, MY, MX, NG, PE, PH, ZA and TH at $10; the first card is normally free elsewhere. Additional cards after the allowance cost $10. An older limits page also lists HK, GB and SG as charged: check the regional Add Card quote before ordering. No physical card included.
Core does not require a paid upgrade or asset threshold. Issuance, funding and FX costs are separate; borrowing interest is not covered by free membership.
No FX markup for USD/EUR spend; other currencies about 1% + 0–0.5%
Other currencies use Visa settlement rates with about 1% base FX cost plus 0–0.5% Core markup. Zero EUR markup is a beta rule for merchant charges actually denominated in EUR, whether funded by USDC or EURC; market currency conversion still applies. Merchant dynamic currency conversion (DCC) can add charges outside this exemption.
Progressive calendar-month tiers: standard spend earns 3% on the first $2,000, 1% on the next $1,000 and 0.5% above $3,000. EUR spend uses USD-equivalent thresholds: 3% on the first $800, 1% from $800 to $1,500 and 0.1% above $1,500. USD and EUR share one monthly counter, not separate allowances. Rewards convert to ETHFI at clearing, lock for 7 days and require a manual claim of at least $5; token value fluctuates. ATM, transfers, taxes, gift cards, financial funding, rent, gambling and other excluded transactions earn no rewards; refunds reverse rewards.
Standard purchase fee 1%; no conversion fee or additional FX markup
Visa FX rates apply; small/failed-transaction fees are separate. These are regular rates. Qualifying campaign waivers are separate, not a full-year free-fee promise.
Standard 4%/100 USDT monthly; Premier 6%/300; Elite 10%/800
Requires actual M-Score 350–599, 600–799 or 800+, using month-end tier; trial tiers do not qualify. Eligible settled spending only, excluding disallowed merchants and refunds; paid to Spot on the next month’s 15th. Rewards may change with the program.
