Bitget Wallet vs ether.fi cashback: what 3% really covers

For qualifying Singapore applicants: Bitget APAC and ether.fi Core virtual cards. Compare rewarded spending and payout assets, then work through the same US$1,000 budget.

A 3% headline does not cover every purchase

Bitget starts at 2%; new or qualifying users unlock 3%. Check your eligible-spend cap in the app. The upgrade threshold and reward cap are different.

Core’s standard USD tier pays 3% on the first US$2,000, then steps down, with rewards in ETHFI. Both have exclusions and claiming rules; rewards are not immediate cash.

2% base assetback; 3% for new or qualifying users

Conditions and fee details

Eligible spending is capped at $200–$600 monthly by market, visible on Card cashback. The 3% tier requires $200 spend in SG/KR/JP/MY/TW/AU or $100 in VN/TH/PH, or new-cardholder eligibility; lasts this month and next. Claim 8 days after settlement. Choose USDC or tokenized assets such as WBTC, XAUt and stock tokens, not direct stock ownership. Refunds and excluded merchants do not qualify.

Progressive calendar-month tiers: standard spend earns 3% on the first $2,000, 1% on the next $1,000 and 0.5% above $3,000. EUR spend uses USD-equivalent thresholds: 3% on the first $800, 1% from $800 to $1,500 and 0.1% above $1,500. USD and EUR share one monthly counter, not separate allowances. Rewards convert to ETHFI at clearing, lock for 7 days and require a manual claim of at least $5; token value fluctuates. ATM, transfers, taxes, gift cards, financial funding, rent, gambling and other excluded transactions earn no rewards; refunds reverse rewards.

No FX markup for USD/EUR spend; other currencies about 1% + 0–0.5%

Conditions and fee details

Other currencies use Visa settlement rates with about 1% base FX cost plus 0–0.5% Core markup. Zero EUR markup is a beta rule for merchant charges actually denominated in EUR, whether funded by USDC or EURC; market currency conversion still applies. Merchant dynamic currency conversion (DCC) can add charges outside this exemption.

Sources for the short answer

How much spending actually earns 3%?

Bitget starts at 2%; new or qualifying users can unlock 3%, with a $200 monthly threshold in Singapore. A separate $200–$600 market-dependent eligible-spend cap applies. Read your Card cashback allowance: an upgrade threshold is not a reward cap.

Core standard spending earns 3% on its first $2,000 monthly, 1% on the next $1,000 and 0.5% above that. EUR uses lower USD-equivalent thresholds, and USD/EUR share a monthly counter; there are not two independent top-rate allowances.

What could US$1,000 of spending earn?

Assume qualifying purchases, an unlocked 3% tier, no earlier rewarded spending and no refunds. Bitget’s formula is 3% × min($1,000, your eligible-spend cap): a $200 cap implies $6; a $600 cap implies $18. These conditional examples do not assign either cap to all Singapore users.

At Core’s standard USD tier, the hypothetical month calculates to $30. This is a reward valuation at clearing, not guaranteed cash proceeds. Keep the reward calculation separate from purchase and funding costs rather than treating it as a fee exemption.

When can I claim, and what do I receive?

Bitget’s specific help page says claimable eight days after settlement, with USDC sent to card balance and other assets to Rewards Account. ether.fi converts rewards to ETHFI, locks them seven days after clearing and requires a manual claim of at least $5. Accrued rewards are not immediately spendable dollars.

Turn the comparison into a decision

Read your in-app allowance and eligible merchants first. For light spending, thresholds matter; for larger budgets, measure how much spending retains the top rate. If you do not want reward tokens, check the payout asset and conversion costs. Application eligibility is a separate check.

This is not a best-card score. Budget, merchant currency, personal allowance and spending mode can change the outcome. Use the edition comparison and fee estimator to check your own scenario.
