The newer first-card fee FAQ lists AR, AO, BD, BO, CO, EC, ID, MY, MX, NG, PE, PH, ZA and TH at $10; the first card is normally free elsewhere. Additional cards after the allowance cost $10. An older limits page also lists HK, GB and SG as charged: check the regional Add Card quote before ordering. No physical card included.
Core does not require a paid upgrade or asset threshold. Issuance, funding and FX costs are separate; borrowing interest is not covered by free membership.
No FX markup for USD/EUR spend; other currencies about 1% + 0–0.5%
Other currencies use Visa settlement rates with about 1% base FX cost plus 0–0.5% Core markup. Zero EUR markup is a beta rule for merchant charges actually denominated in EUR, whether funded by USDC or EURC; market currency conversion still applies. Merchant dynamic currency conversion (DCC) can add charges outside this exemption.
Progressive calendar-month tiers: standard spend earns 3% on the first $2,000, 1% on the next $1,000 and 0.5% above $3,000. EUR spend uses USD-equivalent thresholds: 3% on the first $800, 1% from $800 to $1,500 and 0.1% above $1,500. USD and EUR share one monthly counter, not separate allowances. Rewards convert to ETHFI at clearing, lock for 7 days and require a manual claim of at least $5; token value fluctuates. ATM, transfers, taxes, gift cards, financial funding, rent, gambling and other excluded transactions earn no rewards; refunds reverse rewards.
Onchain network costs apply; bank funding is route-priced
Check the supported asset, network, address and transaction quote; network, protocol or bridge costs are not assumed free. Where available: USD ACH $0.50 + 0.10%; USD Wire/SWIFT $20 + 0.10%; EUR SEPA to USDC €0.90 + 0.15%, or to EURC €0.90. Other fiat routes, minimums and availability are shown in the deposit flow; route prices are not interchangeable.
This virtual-card entry does not include physical-card cash access. Official guidance lists ATM use as a physical-card feature, with separate issuance and withdrawal terms.
Direct Pay can use USDC, USDT, EURC and other supported account assets
Choose eligible assets and order at Portfolio → Set Spend Priority. Guidance also lists liquidUSD, liquidEUR, liquidReserve and frxUSD, but availability is regional. Liquid is unavailable to US/UK residents or citizens; Liquid Reserve belongs to a specific US program. Use only assets and deposit networks permitted for the account; insufficient balance does not guarantee a successful payment from another asset.
Default card daily limit $5,000; account daily/monthly limits $10,000 each
These are adjustable defaults, not guaranteed maximum credit. Card and account limits both apply and the first reached blocks spend. Review or change them in Cash card Spending limits and Vault → Settings; changes may have a security delay. Direct Pay also depends on available balance; Borrow Mode depends on collateral ratios, protocol and account conditions.
Supported international residences and eligible identity required
The official list includes Hong Kong, Singapore, the UK, parts of Europe and other regions. Belgium and Ireland are eligible for Cash without physical delivery. Unlisted jurisdictions cannot currently apply. Residence, citizenship and compliance checks must satisfy the terms. The US program has separate agreements and is outside this entry. Canada appears in the help list but the terms exclude Canadian residents and citizens; obtain official confirmation first.
Sign up with ether.fi → Cash / Cards → Add Card → Virtual
Confirm residence eligibility and complete verification, then review the Core first-virtual-card quote in Add Card before confirming. Obtain the card details, select a spending mode, fund the account and set limits; optionally add a mobile wallet. A physical order is not required.
Assets stay in a personal onchain account with spending permissions
Cash connects a non-custodial wallet and Direct Pay uses available assets. Borrow Mode collateral can be liquidated as prices fall or interest accrues. Third National issues the Visa card but does not provide the protocol loan; onchain assets are not insured bank deposits.
Direct Pay spends the balance; Borrow Mode accrues variable interest
Borrowing accrues compound interest immediately with no interest-free grace period; check the live account APY before borrowing. Repay voluntarily; no scheduled monthly minimum does not remove collateral requirements. Refunds usually take 3–7 business days and may take 30, return as USDC and reverse rewards. A Borrow Mode refund does not automatically repay debt: repay manually or interest continues.

Foreign-merchant transactions 1%; asset conversion may add fees
Non-US holders: local stablecoin conversion free; 0.5% when the stablecoin matches neither holder nor merchant currency (Argentina USD exception); other crypto such as wETH 0.875%. Mastercard exchange rates and gas also apply.
Non-VIP 2%, capped at €50/month; VIP up to 10%/€1,000
Standard schedule effective 2026-09-01: VIP1 4%/€300, VIP2 4.5%/€450, VIP3 5%/€1,000, VIP4+ 10%/€1,000. USDG-funded purchases only, not USDC; paid in USDG usually within 72 hours of settlement. Cash, finance, insurance, education, government and other MCC exclusions apply; refunds reverse rewards. Minimum reward 0.01 EUR and 0.01 USDG after conversion.
Standard purchase fee 1%; no conversion fee or additional FX markup
Visa FX rates apply; small/failed-transaction fees are separate. These are regular rates. Qualifying campaign waivers are separate, not a full-year free-fee promise.
Standard 4%/100 USDT monthly; Premier 6%/300; Elite 10%/800
Requires actual M-Score 350–599, 600–799 or 800+, using month-end tier; trial tiers do not qualify. Eligible settled spending only, excluding disallowed merchants and refunds; paid to Spot on the next month’s 15th. Rewards may change with the program.
